Cosmic Musings

Lately, I’ve been thinking about what it means to go back, not just to a place, but to a feeling, a memory, a version of myself.

What happens when we revisit something we thought we’d outgrown or forgotten? What if we walked the same road again, but this time with eyes that have seen more, a heart that’s been cracked open, and a mind that understands nuance?

Imagine going on a trip you took years ago. You sleep in the same bed, eat the same meal, talk to the same people, but you’re not the same person. Maybe back then you rushed through it, missed the beauty, or saw it through the lens of fear, expectation, or longing. Now, with your lived experience, that same place might feel entirely different. It might feel like a gift.

Retrogrades in astrology are not setbacks.

They are soul invitations. Invitations to slow down, to trace our own steps not with judgment, but with compassion. They ask us: What part of your past still holds treasure? What conversation needs to be reimagined, not avoided? What emotion deserves a second glance, not to suffer, but to understand?

So often, we think that going back means failing, or losing progress. But sometimes, we return not to repeat, but to reclaim. To take the version of ourselves that once existed, and wrap them in love, clarity, and wisdom. We don’t return to stay, we return to see. And when we truly see, we get to choose again.

Today might be the perfect day to journal. Not about fixing the past, but about feeling it differently. Ask yourself: what would it be like to revisit a decision, a moment, a relationship, with your current self by your side? What grace might you give it now that you couldn’t before?

You might find that what once felt broken, actually just needed more time. More truth. More you.
